You would be hard pressed the see the deference in picture quality. Actually, the shots from your L lens + 400D are sharper than the kit lens that was on the 450D that I played with.

imo they would have to be off the back of a lorry.
yea, thinkin the same.. not that stealin anything is ok..but something like an SLR..is one of those purchases that is made with serious intention and with a passion for photography..unlike perhaps a cellphone which is generally more functional, so to have something like that stolen from you is quite a gut wrenching experience..
