Which device to replace to Vuma Raycore ONT?

Hello fellow mybb readers!

Pretty much the day after i switched from vuma from openserve I had random periods of internet just dying. Using the same network equipment as before, which was working fine on openserve. Openserve was a new install with a nokia ONT, and vuma was older install which was here when I moved in.

I moved to vuma due to black friday special of last year.

I have narrowed in down to ONT losing connectivity. Vuma/afrihost is not bothered to sort this out.

Then I remembered reading somewhere on mybb that the vuma/raycore ont can be replaced with another device, and it just works as it uses dhcp.

What device would recommend to replace raycore ont with? I don't need wifi on it, just a single lan port is fine.

How sure are you that its the ONT and not the dozen single points of failure between that and the Internet?

Not sure, but this is the last item I can replace.

Vuma/afrihost is not willing to assist, So i will replace what I can from my side.

Vuma in certain areas has more brownouts than OS. Your best course of action is to revert to OS.

Think there is a thread somewhere here, SFP's are locked with MAC address or something to the ONT.
