Toying with the idea of getting one, but there are so many of them.

I saw people moaning about Fitbit yesterday in the discovery vitality threat iirc.
Usually Bluetooth syncing and heart rate monitoring
Wow. That is a good bit of kit for the price. I checked in my discovery app list to see if it is possible to link it for purposes of earning vitality points. However, I don't see it in the list. (Just for reference, the only option missing from the screenshot is 'Withings')Which the B-Fits do.

I will definitely look at potential workarounds though.
Perhaps to S-Health. That makes this a viable option for me. Thank you sir.I don't have vitality, so I'm not familiar with the whole process, but I do have it synced with Apple's Health app which I believe is accepted by Discovery? So there might be another workaround in the Android world?

What advantages do these fitbits have over say the R399 B-Fit Move 2, or even the R299 first gen B-Fit Move?
At R400 you can just replace it yourself. Going to get me the B-fit move 2 since MIA never bothered to import the Mi band 2.The app is a big plus. Also, as someone mentioned, fitbit are pretty good at replacing stuff, even if out of warranty. Someone here at work got an entirely new watch after hers went bust out of warranty. Was a later model too.
And I would say my blaze has a wee bit more functionality than a R400 device.

Seeing as it's almost 12 times as expensive as my R299 B-Fit I would expect a lot more functionality. There's an app for the watch and it ties in nicely with Apple Health which is nice, but I'm not really interested in most of what it offers. And I would say my blaze has a wee bit more functionality than a R400 device.

The nice thing about the cheap ones, and there are plenty of others besides the B-Fit, is if you decide you don't really want a fitness watch then you haven't lost much.
I'm quite a cautious buyer so 9 out of 10 times I end up annoyed since it's the right thing but I was just a bit too frugal. The other thing is that for something I'm wearing 24/7 I really don't care about the price difference. What advantages do these fitbits have over say the R399 B-Fit Move 2, or even the R299 first gen B-Fit Move?
Nice will definitely use that.I have the fitbit Blaze, this was before the charge 2 came out.
Reason for getting it;
All the usual stuff, HR Monitor, steps, stairs, GPS tracking (with phone) workouts, runs and cycles.
All the other models were part of the band, the Blaze face pops out, I liked that I could get after market bands.
The amount of info it displays and the changeable faces
The app itself has loads of info, you can log your food (better in US or UK, you can just scan the food items)
Sleep tracking, etc.
I liked the colour screen, and the amount of info it shows on the home screen (currently HR, steps, time and date)
If you're just looking for a HR monitor for workouts, you can try the cheaper alternatives though
