Which generator?

Hiya guys looking for a genie
Portable around 7kva
It needs to be able to run a few hair dryers and a few other things for my chicks work.
So portable petrol or diesel.
Decent quality
Need input please guys.
Looking on takealot as I have a lot fo ebucks
Thanks
If this is to be used in a hairsalon then consider a 8 kw sunsynk or dye. Alternatively you could run 2 x 5kw inverters. How many hairdryers will run at the same time? a hairsalon is being operated from one of the places I'm renting out. I had a 8 kw inverter and 2x 5kw sunsynk batteries installed for them and it works well.

You should comfortably be able to run 3 hairdryers. Keep in kind some of these pull in excess of 2.4kw

Don't know that much about quality ie would have to read reviews

Anything that comes with a honda motor is fine for me on the motor side

Generator side i don't know

If loadshedding pauses just make sure to close the taps and drain the carb or run it at least once a month

I think most peoples problem stem from this on motor side

Gunked up carbs

Feul injected systems can stand without this problem

But carbs not ie petrol evaporates and leaves concentrated gunk that needs a carb removal /cleaning

Problem is I need it to be portable as I am renting so if I install stuff permanently I will loose it when I leave

This is the one I got. its currently cheaper on Takealot than when I bought it! Quite happy with it - runs the whole house basically. Edit - I paid R14,929!!!

Thanks bud,
This one is still a bit cheaper and bigger:

An inverter trolley setup ie inverter on a plastic box will be exactly like a generator

And can be connected to a plug for charging

Can just put a breaker in a box where you most likely will have a breaker for the battery

And use a 15A on the line from plug into inverter input so that you can't overload the plug (the circuit is normally protected with 20A breaker that protects the cable supplying the plugs and leaves the 16amp of the plug limit to common sense) it uses for charging and multi plug on output same leads as you would have used with generator

If they can use one hair dryer at a time a 5kw inverter will be fine

If the hair dryer is below 2500w or had a setting to use less than that you can run 2 at a time so no wheeling out starting etc and no instalation

One is cheaper initially more expensive long term

Other expensive initially cheaper long term

Unfortunately budget can throw us into the ouch option
