Which Hatchback to buy?

Good Day Everyone!

I am in the market for a new second-hand car, I am not sure which one to go with though...

My considerations:
  • Hyundai i20 (Top of my list at the moment)
  • Kia Rio
  • Ford Fiesta (2009 and newer model)

I test drove the i20 and Rio on Saturday, and the i20 feels nicer, but the Ford Fiesta seems to be a little harder to find...

My budget is about R115k

There is a new Figo coming out soon with the look of the new Fiesta. Has bluetooth, ABS, EBD, etc. Already launched in Brazil and then India early next year. It will also have the EcoBoost option (but that will raise the price by quite a bit).

Thanks for the info, but unfortunately I don't think the price will in my range...

Handling, build quality and service. Before the i20, I had a previous shape 2005 Fiesta 1.4L... I still think that car was a better car than the i20 I replaced it with. The newer Fiesta will be even better.
 
no matter what anyone says, still most important thing, IMO, when buying a car is to actually go drive it and sit in it a bit, that'll give you the best idea what to go with.

Just got back from Ford the glen. Then got a 2010 fiesta for R110k.

Still trying to find a Fiesta to test drive, but I have always loved the look of it more.

I considered a polo, but I'm not so sure on the high risk of the vehicle and I'd only take a new generation Polo, not a Vivo.

hahaha I do agree with you there! My 16 year old, 1.5 litre automatic Hyundai Accent doesn't have much of that... so I think it's time for an upgrade!
 
All three cars are good, but I think you should rather to a price vs feature comparison. I think you'll be surprised of how badly the Fiesta fairs against the other two. My vote is for the Kia Rio though

The Rio looks the best imho but the new figo comes better specced.
