Which is faster USB or Ethernet ?

well then 100meters should be fine because you have to get 1mbit data from the cable but the cable can run at 400mbit so degredation isn't going to affect it much, however you'd have to be completley flipping loopy to use a 100meter usb cable
 
Actually slim .. the type of degradation experienced on about 10m of cable would make it basically unusable...

It's not like you loose X mbs per y meters ...

Its an electrical signalling issue.
