We want to find out which ISPs MyBroadband’s forum members use at home, and why they selected this ISP.
  1. Please vote in the poll about which ISP you use at home.
  2. Please tell us why you selected this ISP.
Your feedback is really valuable to us.

I use one of those VOX special offer R165 accounts on the VDSL connection here, nothing to complain about, fast, super cheap and reliable. 400GB a month with unused rollover, have 2TB in unused rollover data banked. Selected this because it was on special at the time (marked down from R899 IIRC) and have not looked back ever since.

AH, switched to them long ago when their ADSL prices and support were unmatched. Too much of a hassle changing my fibre provider right now, so I'll stick with them for a little while longer. Will not choose them again though.

I have fixed Rain through Afrihost, mostly because of price and I signed up when it was still double-data. I use not enough data to justify fibre, even though it's available, if LTE wasn't an option would probably be with Cool Ideas.

WebAfrica - ADSL line
AfriHost - Data Package

Moving over to Cool Ideas and FrogFoot when fiber goes live in Jan 2019

After the abortion that CW became being taken over by the Evonet amateurs, Webafrica offered low price for stable gaming and a good chunk of data

Telkom - Price and package offer the best value

I use Afrihost, mostly because they have been giving me great service and reliable speeds on my capped account. The free data from midnight until 8am is also a great bonus. Their Client portal also works well and is easy to understand, makes it easy to change/upgrade your package. I also use them for additional mobile data on my MTN sim.

I won't have an issue to move to another ISP though if the service I get from AH is not satisfactory, which has happened before when they moved from IS to MTN as a backbone.
