Which ISP?

Which ADSL ISP supplies the best uncapped price, speed and service? I really need recommendations. Is there any price better than the MWEB 1mb/s uncapped for R588?

I've been using webafrica 1mb uncapped for a week now and I am very happy with it. Consistently good speeds during the day and evening and of course, the openness of the AUP is there for all to see and very easy to follow using their console.

Being able to download at full speed between midnight and 6am for 'free' is fantastic and more than enough for me to be able to schedule my downloads, which I've done every night since signing up last week, and the speed is a constant 100mb/s.

I'm very impressed this far after being with axxess for a couple of years. Keep it up WA and you've got a long term subscriber here.

WA is good. Great support and great prices however with that said their uncapped product is still pretty young and had its fair share of problems earlier this month. From the 15th dec to now, though, their 4mbps uncapped account has been incredible; better than mweb and openweb gold with regards to both speed and latency.

You still pay telkom R89 or something stupid for the phone line.

+1 for WA. My line has been with them for a few years now and any problems I had got resolved quickly and efficiently.

If you have your line with us, the ADSL portion of the line is paid through us. The analogue portion still needs to be paid through Telkom unfortunately.

Since the 15th December, after our huge capacity increase, the issues have been resolved.

I would jump for the trial but we don't actually have a ADSL line yet only a normal phone line and also no modem or what ever one calls it.

On the Red Africa accounts I'm not too sure because these were specials that we ran, but we can possibly look at upgrading you to Red Africa incl. line. Maybe you can give our Sales guys a shout and see if anything can be organised?

Most definitely. We don't lock any of our routers

WA battle to sort out Telkom problems though in my experience and while the telephonic support is not bad you will not be able to get hold of anyone senior to listen to your problem and help. They also don't tell existing customers about new packages that would be more cost effective for them.. That you need to keep an eye on yourself.
