Also, since you are not too concerned about absolute image quality, a trick that reduces the JPG file size by large amount is to set the JPG quality to standard/medium/average and not high/fine/superfine etc (obviously camera dependent). To test just take a bunch of photos at each quality level with the new camera (garden at midday pointed at the same spot to keep the light the same) and then zoom into each photo to see the difference in quality. And also check the file size and the just pick the combination of smallest file size:image quality. By doing this you might be able to take 500 photos instead of 250
