Which modem/router?

After a few lightning strikes need a new one 300mb at least wireless.

Any advice?
Must be ADSL 2+

I had one of these that got nailed by lightning so I replaced it with a Trendnet for just under R1k, a week later that got taken out as well so have opted for this route

as well as a surge protector

ideally only the modem will get taken out next time and will be cheaper to replace

Problem is not electrical, the modem gets taken out from the actual RJ11

So get a cheapy modem and hook it up to a separate router?
