Which new cell phone to get??

If you can stretch to the Imate I would go for that.... (can't remember what the latest one is called)
 
ATM the Sony Ericssons are probably your best choices. Nokia have lost the plot (besides N-series), Samsungs are good although the latest offerings arent the spectacular, the D820 is cr@p. Motorola's are generally **** IMO but i must admit I like the RAZR-i its like the normal RAZR just with memory card and XVGA cam with vid. I used to change phones every 6 months or so but since i have had my d500 there has been nothing really worthwhile to upgrade to. If you watched carte blanche yesterday you would have seem the new Sagem TV - phones which are currently being tested, they reckon by september they'll be available.

Whatever you do dont get a vodaphone branded phone, it'll drive you mad

Not sure about the new Nokia N-series branded ones, but on the 6680 you can disable just about anything regarding Vodafone - you would not realise mine is Vodafone.

nice, saw the RAZR VX3 or summin in a CellC shop...the phone looks jammin and is loaded wth all the neat stuff...
Opinions / experiences on this one?

I thought the D820 looked cool too...doesnt have 3G tho but I am hearing it aint good. :confused:

The shops have very little SE in stock :(
 
cell c's range sucks, im also due for an upgrade, ive been due since march but been postponing it hoping a nice phone comes along, was considering the w800 though.. seems to be the best at the moment, that or the n70... but i wanna wait till number portability, im sure there'll be some decent offers around that time
 
Motorola handsets are in a different league these days compared to where they were a couple of years ago. Menu's are easy to navigate. Just stay away from Vodafone models - they seem to be more "crippled" and slow when compared to the standard models.

6680 (a little bit old now) and N70 are also great phones. Battery life with 3G switched off is great. Using 3G battery life dwindles much quicker.
 
I liked V3x as well, but when I went to Vodashop yesterday the guy told me that they were having problems with the software on these phones..

No, he's probably referring to the Imate JAMin.

I want to get one of those babies, but it's probably gonna be too expensive.

Hi guys - I'm also due for a upgrade this weekend, I sort of decided on the Nokia N80. I see Cell C is supplying them on their contracts but Vodacom is still full of **** with testing etc etc............ :mad: One would think that by the time Nokia is prepared to flood the market with a model it should already be thoroughly tested !!!!! Anyway - any feedback from someone re the N80 ???? :rolleyes: The N90 is to big & bulky - I couldn't care less about a Carl Zeisss blah blah blah camera either ! :D

Dagse kleindood............ Don't know when the N91 is coming but the N80 is om the market - now it's just to get one !!!!! It's got all the right connectivity stuff including wifi and looks much more compact than the N90. Def one to consider.

Dis reg so - het gaan kyk by Nokia, hulle trek nou al by N93............ Ons behoort dit seker so teen 2010 te sien Hahahhahhha. Als is mos maar stadiger die kant van die wereld jong !!! Loer so effe na daai N80 - ek scheme dis die ding nou !! Ek het 'n SE P900i op die oomblik - geen issues nie , baie lekker foon maar die ontvang is van tyd tot tyd maar k@kkerig ! :D
