Can get either of these routers, but would like to know which one is better

Netgear N300
Aztech 700wr

Any advice on these 2?

No, gumtree. Can you advise a good router then at an affordable price? I currently have the Huawei HG532f, and many says it's a good one.

It really depends on what sort of features you're looking for. What are you looking for in a router?

I'm only after one for my DSL, so don't really care if it has USB ports etc.

I've been having poor connections, so want to try another router to see how it performs.

Aren't you happy with the Huawei? I have the same one too
I'm trying to eliminate the issues I've been having, thus I want to test another router to see if performs better. I am having line/exchange issues, so maybe it would be silly to assume it's the router.

The only Aztech router I've worked with was horribly unreliable, with the admin-panel only working intermittently. Honestly, I'd try to buy a router that has ROOTER support - then you can at least flash different firmware if you're unhappy.

What about quality-of-service (QOS)? Are you sharing your connection with other people in your household, or would you want to be able to have a Skype conversation while downloading a massive file, for example? Wifi is also another pain point with some routers. Some do wifi better than others.

Yep, sharing with 2 other people, so WiFi needs to be up to standard. Also do other things in between like downloads and streaming etc

Well if it's just to test then I recommend you get the Netgear, I owned the DGN2200 before the Huawei. It's an OK router. But R550 for a new Huawei is a good deal too.

I have 2 of the Huawei HG532F, so looking to sell the one and maybe look at something then. Just thought one of these might be okay without breaking the bank, and then it's not a router issue

What kind of issues are you having? If it is connection drops or line sync issues see if your router gives you a current sync rate, If your current sync speed keeps changing even a tiny bit it might be issues on the line, you can also check your noise ratio's to see if there is any issues.

If it is a wifi issue I would recommend getting a separate wireless access points, I personally like the unifi devices these offer a ton of features and is extremely simple to setup, They are a bit more expensive but are quite close to enterprise grade and worth every penny. If you are going to spend some money perhaps look into getting a 5Ghz wifi connection just to make it a bit more future proof, There is a lot of 5Ghz ones that aren't worth it the main thing to look into is for it to have 802.11ac. ac is very high bandwidth and I use it for streaming 1080p 3D movies and steam games over wifi with no issue. Note that not all devices support ac but most routers offering 802.11ac still works on all devices

If you still looking into a new router it is quite difficult seeing as everyone's experiences differ, some might despise some routers and others might love them. From my day to day it seems a lot of people prefer the Netgear, Personally not a big fan, I have had great luck with the TP-Link range but I did buy a higher end one where some of my friends had issues with the lower range ones.

I know it doesnt seem much help but it seems when it comes to routers it is luck of the draw, so pick the one with the most features.

TP-Link W8970 is one of the best range 2.4GHz routers. The Archer D2 and D5 are also excellent if you want 5GHz.

Lol I have one of those and range is average at best (5meters through a wall), its also not too friendly with Andriod devices (says you connected to the net but until you reset it you aren't).

A wall is like the length of a piece of string. Many types of walls, many types of bricks, with various penetrability. The TP-Link W8970 is the best 2.4GHz modem I've used in terms of range. Do you have other suggestions?

Never had issues with Androids either. Perhaps a FW update?
