Please can anyone help me with what setting I need to set my oven to for baking.

Agreed, fan off, bottom element. But what is the difference between 1 and 3?

That is why I said 1 or 3. Not sure which setting the fan is on or off. And all the settings, except the last one, has a [-]strike through[/-] which is weird.

I have an idea that the first one is the rotisserie, but then again every setting has the rotisserie turning and there is no option to switch it off.
And as for what I am baking, I love to bake and with 4 sons nagging me to bake I have no option but to drive straight in

Sunbeam Model no:SGEO-900SA
The manual that came with the oven talk about gas oven but the oven is electric.
The suggestions for baking talk about the temperate but nothing about which setting :erm:

I think my best bet is to make up a batch of scones and try a few at a time on each setting.

You only need to try 1 and 3, at least the element position is clear. If one of those settings activates the fan, will you be able to hear it?

The fan comes on with all the settings.

That will be very strange.

Are you sure the fan is on with all the settings? Is it not just the sound the rotisserie makes that you are confusing as the fan being on?

The fan comes on with all the settings.

If the fan and rotisserie are always on for 1 and 3 is there maybe a difference in speed of the fan and/or rotisserie? Otherwise I don't know why there are 2 settings.

Elements visible ?
When top element on is the grill element on too ?
If only smaller element at top you can use top element too . If not come on crust will be pale white and not brown.
Fan running could be thermofan option
