Who designed those icons? It's indecipherable. Baking wants a nice, perfectly even heat with no fans, as everyone says. Which one of those would be that is anyone's guess.

You cannot bake something from just the bottom element.
Thank you for all the advice and suggestions. I will be trying with setting 2 for now and see how that goes.
The lemon meringue I made came out looking great, but then again that is not something that requires hectic baking.
But will give it another go with a cake over the weekend
