If its not a GPS enabled watch, such as the Polar, then you will need a footpod which goes on the shoe to measure distance, a few have this included..
You may also need a seperate heart rate monitor if its not included in the package.
I use a Garmin which comes with all of the above, foot pod and heart rate, but I really battle with the Garmin software, so I don't use it as often as I would like.
