Which small suv to buy?

ye I am also suddenly seeing a lot more cherry and haval suv recently, so maybe they are being priced very aggressively here, and I have to say, some of those Haval does look pretty good to me at least on the outside.
 
Like I mentioned in another thread okes are *not* buying the povo spec Chery & Haval cars, they are all mid & many are top dog spec rides.

That tells you a few things like (perceived) value aspect being the main point as well that the brand snobbishness of many buyers have changed some what.
 
We are going to order our 3rd Mokka in a row next week, for delivery in Mid January. Super little vehciles, all the bells and whistles, fit and finish is great and you don't get that cheap plastic everything feel like the VW offerings. I'm selling the current Mokka X privately to a couple who can only take delivery in Jan.

Thanks for this. I’ll keep my eye out for this. I test drove the venue a few months ago. I was impressed by its power and the auto gearbox was great

Easily get 6.0L/100km in town and down to about 5.6-5.8 on the open road. Has a 5star Euro Ncap rating and is well put together. Road noise is non existent in these vehicles. They very well insulated. The 1.4T is very nippy due to it being the same motor they use in the Swift Sport. The 1.6 on the other hand is smooth as butter and rock solid. And might be more fuel efficient if you have a heavier foot.

Did some off roading with it and it does very well over rough gravel roads and rocks. I wouldn't join a 4x4 club with it but it's a very capable and comfortable off roader. Especially for a compact suv. It's definitely a little more rugged than a T-Cross, Ecosport, CX3 or Creta.

I do believe it won best compact suv from 2017-2019 in that Wesbank cars.co.za awards.

Only warranty claim that was done since 2019 was a reverse light bulb. Still using factory breaks and tyres. But the tyres are a little pricey at around R2500 for Continentals or Goodyear tyres and R2800 for Michelin.

I really like the vitara 1.4 turbo but it is quite expensive

The new mokka is probably my favourite compact suv. I wish I could afford it as it is quite pricey

I will say I like the looks (Vizor design) but I dont see the new model on the roads at all! Old model (X & non X) a good amount.

Saw this in the mall the other day. My goodness it is so pretty. There is just something about the looks that i am in love with.

We saw one on the road, and she immediately said we are selling the Mokka X and getting a green one. Initially I was hesitant because the current Mokka we own only has 60k on the clock, but the master gets what the master wants in the end.

Solid option in my books, just get don’t get povo spec otherwise you will get an ”infotainment system” from 2002.

I have a diesel Ecosport myself and know quite a few people who have one. I can't say much since I've had mine less than a year, but I haven't heard a single bad thing from any of the others so far. The one has a 2016 model which has 374k kilos on it and something on the diesel pump broke a few months ago. Apart from that, normal maintenance and wear & tear, nothing major has gone wrong on it. I'm hoping to get the same from mine

The best choice of SUV is a minivan.

They are cheaper, more fuel efficient and bigger. If you get a Diesel variant, you can even get a turbo :laugh:
