Which SSD to buy?

Dunno what it is actually :/

It's a decent price.

Thanks for the help!

It wasn't an Extreme - but I bought it anyway.

And the speed boost is huge!!

damn, our company bought a few sandisks, had to send them all back due to very low iops and read/write errors.
just check if you dont have the one with the PKG memory dividers

That's why you do your research before buying.

Maybe try that next time.

My SSD is a 128GB Transcend. Read/writes are advertised as 560/540 if I recall correctly. I've had it for a few months and it's going nicely.

im looking for a ssd for my pc (80gig is ok)

Anyone know of a good deal?

I have trouble juggling stuff around on my 128GB SSD. Don't get a drive even smaller than that. The OS and software takes up much more room than you think.

Flowerhat, out of 80GB, how much do you expect to have open? It's a good idea, for performance reasons, to have about 30% open.

You get ~60, ~90 and ~120GB. Not sure what you'd prefer though, between 90 and 120. 120's aren't that much more expensive.

^^ that's a decent drive to buy.
What's your budget though? <-- The important thing.

I generally wanted to pay not more than a 1TB SATA3 for a 128gb SSD.

Hoping prices will come down that I can get one for R800.

Wanted to get vertex 3 / 4

Heard kingston controller is not so good?
