Which tyre fitment centre do you prefer?

They not far off from my factory and office in the nearby industrial area.

Has anyone else had issues with Goodhope? I was planning to use them for my next tyre purchase as the tyres themselves are much cheap there than elsewhere in Cape Town.

Sadly, I can now add a bad experience with Goodhope Tyres. Luckily the problem was noticed before I made the purchase:

I messaged one of their stores asking specifically for 185 65 R15 88H tyres.

I received different options and picked one, only to then be told that the tyre was T rated, which is a lower speed rating. After some back and forth, I found out that all of the options I was given were for T ratings, even though I had asked for H in my original message. Goodhope said that would be able to get me H rated tyres, but that quote was more expensive than anyone else I was looking at.

Tiger Wheel & Tyre meanwhile had 3 brands available on the day, all matching my requirements and cheaper than the same rating at Goodhope. While Goodhope was fine to fix a puncture for me last year, I was disappointed in how they handled my request this year. Tiger Wheel & Tyre did everything right on the day and I took my money to them.

Also, while my car can't reach 190km/h (the speed rating on a T tyre) it was bad of Goodhope to send a quotes for something different to what I asked for and worse of them not to inform me that the specification was different.

I use Tyremart only. Unfortunately Tiger Wheel & tyre have really gone downward service wise in recent years. The fact that they have been taking back the franchise stores means the backbone of once made the small town stores great is no longer there.

Had a puncture, took it to a local fitment place, they added copper compound to the wheel nuts and use a torque wrench, so keep going there for tyres as well
