Which UPS

Maybe get something like this to feed 12V from the other UPS, it will step it down for your 9V devices.

Thanks v much @thechamp and @pojo for your recommendations. I do like the UltraLAN Micro UPS (DC & PoE) - 60W 17.6AH, which Pojo suggested, and looks like it would work for both routers with the variable power outputs.
It also looks pretty expensive, and my budget was around 1.5k max (no price listed on the website).

I was hoping to find an option like this - which has a 3-point SA plug extension, so I can simply run the routers off the UPS via an extension plug. Issues are the constant beeping which sounds like a mission to reset and keeps re-setting after power cuts and also doesn't sound like the most reliable brand.

Would def go for the first option if it was affordable. Is there any UPS that I can plug an extension cable into with the routers connected to that, which is reliable, doesn't have the beeping issues and will power 1x12v and 1x9v router for 2.5 hours?

Thanks

I have one . It's about the size of a comic.

Hi Pho3nix

It only goes down by one bar out of 4 in 3 hours. I am running a a cpe and router.

I like that it also gives you the ac incoming voltage.

Thanks. Have a RCS UPS that gives me 3 hours. With this should be up to 12ish. Not that my laptop will last that long but progress

Yep that sounds about right. It also supports poe devices. Thinking of eventually going the ubiquity route.

Hey all, I'm still struggling to find an affordable UPS without constant beeps and battery issues that will power my 12V Fibre router and 9V Wifi router during loadshedding. Budget is around 1.5k max. I just need to power those two devices for 2.5 hours. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks!

That's a good tip - can you recommend a good UPS's reliable and not too expensive that I can plug my 12V and 9V router into? I'm guessing would be best to plug them in via extension plug from the router.

See the device I linked above. Should be getting it tomorrow

just get the biggest (kva) you can afford so the batteries don't get hammered. they're not designed to provide power for long periods, but rather just to give power for long enough to power things down. seeing you're just powering routers then it should be okay, and probably won't drain the batteries too much. those shitty batteries inside will die pretty quick if you run the ups until flat.

i cut the plug off a multiplug and fitted a female kettle cord plug to plug into ups. i think you can buy them already like that, not sure where.

edit: quick search:
