Hi All

I am looking for the most stable functional USB-powered MiFi device. So far I have tested:
Vodacom Huawei R209-Z http://www.vodafone.com/content/index/what/devices/vodafone-r209z.html
and
Vodacom Huawei R216 http://www.vodafone.com/content/index/what/devices/vodafone-r216.html

Both these devices have buggy firmware, especially when configuring static routes to clients from an unrestricted APN. The WiFi link also hangs intermittently and the R216 also hangs permanently every few days and requires power cycling to come back up.

Looking at other GSM providers, MTN offers:
Alcatel MW40 http://www.alcatel-mobile.com/sg/products/detail/MW40

Telkom offers:
Telkom Huawei E5330 https://secure.telkom.co.za/today/shop/personal/device/hauwei-e5330-mi-fi-router/

and Cell C offers:
CellC ZTE MF920V https://www.cellc.co.za/cellc/data-contract-details/ZTE-MF920V-MiFi-Router-on-SMARTDATA-5GB

Does anyone have experience in the stability of these devices, or can anyone recommend another stable USB-powered MiFi alternative?

E5573 Huawei - plus its also 4G/LTE so higher speeds

Don't use Class A private address space with Huawei. If you get auto assigned 10.x.x.x from Cell C, you get problem. Experience with B315s.

Good deal for E5573 R99p/m, contract though:
