Which version of android auto actually works?

Trying to install the apk on my zuk z2.

App keeps on closing when it needs to setup

Anybody know how to get it working?

I fixed the permissions now, android auto is working now

Have to manually set the floating window permission.

I managed to get it working on my Zuk Z2, but I cant get it to display on my car screen? I did connect it to the usb, but I dont know what to do after that to get it up on my screen in the car

got it working on Golf 7.5.
Plug in phone, allow connection, choose top right option on car multimedia interface, and choose Android Auto.
