While three [broadcasting] dogs fight over a bone...

In my personal opinion, I don't believe that this will happen any time soon.

The costs for the regional rights are way too high and there is not enough add revenue to cover the gap between paid subscriptions and the add revenue.

But again, just my opinion.
What will most likely happen is they sublicense the rights to local entities.

It can get more expensive, people, are already paying more than the comfortable with. So the price goes up, and you sell less, price goes up, and you sell even less. Wonderful.
Yeah which is why people will subscribe for 3 months of the year to one service and watch everything they've wanted to watch before moving on to the next. They already do it with Dstv during Curry Cup and World Cup season. The point being while the full price will go up you'll still pay less for just one or two programs.

Six of one - half dozen of the other

It's more about choice. I don't want to pay for everything when I only watch 10% of it. Entertainment should be priced more towards fair market value.
