Nah...not buying ANY bottles ATM. Shopping at auctions in Europe and leaving stuff there in their storage. When I land in Netherlands I have it shipped to me.

for some reason I thought Takealot would at least vet prices of participants in their "blue dot sale", but no, ACA Liquors strike again:
that's a decent price for the 10yr, standard price for the 18yr and way overpriced on the 12yr adding up to a total of R3107, but wait, if you want all three grab this amazing blue dot special instead!
"22% off" gets you to a bundle price 25% higher than buying them separately from the same website
no prizes for guessing the inflated 12yr price and the pathetic family pack price is ... ACA

They really scored an own goal with this one - I own a good few bottles bought from retailers - but because I did not buy from them, not able to access this tasting. Maybe my few bottles of Waterford up for sale soon........

The Bottega ones are being sold on behalf of a private seller and they're from years ago, not the recent releases. The private seller is dictating the price for those bottles.
I disagree. It was arranged by Navigate World Whisky for their direct clients. This was not advertised anywhere, rather the invitations were mailed directly to their clients.
Even when I contacted the rep to see if I could get someone invited who had never bought from them, the answer was sorry, the invitation is only for their customers and they had already filled the allocated amount of spaces, which was 15 if my calculation is correct.
It was a fantastic tasting and Ned from Waterford was quite the host. Exclusive events such as this further cements my support of them, and you have my number for when you want to offload your Waterford
