Ardbeg debuts Ardcore whisky for Fèis Ìle 2022 - The Spirits Business
Islay distillery Ardbeg has launched a limited edition whisky called Ardcore, marking the brand's namesake day of festivities.www.thespiritsbusiness.com
Oh deary me, that looks divine.

The way the GBP <> ZAR is going this might be cheaper than last yearEish. I'm so over ardbeg since the recent money grabbing "special" releases. Will stick to Ledaig and kilchoman.
It's also about principal as well. As morkans said, guys like Kilchoman carry on making outstanding Whisky in proper quantities. No price gouging ectThe way the GBP <> ZAR is going this might be cheaper than last year
I am embarrassed to say I don’t have a single Kilchoman in the collection. Not sure why, I keep looking and then getting something else. Any suggestions on a first purchase to rectify the problem? It's also about principal as well. As morkans said, guys like Kilchoman carry on making outstanding Whisky in proper quantities. You will not be disappointed by any of the core range of Kilchoman.I am embarrassed to say I don’t have a single Kilchoman in the collection. Not sure why, I keep looking and then getting something else. Any suggestions on a first purchase to rectify the problem?
But I get what you’re saying, I am a proper Ardbeg fanboi and even so my interest is starting to roam.

Seems like a stretch getting those locally, but seeing that I’ve been released from the “poor man whiskey club” oath, I might as well spend a bit.morkans has the most Kilchomans that I ever seen so he should comment.
Personally I had the Loch Gorm 2016 and STR Cask 2019 today and both of them were absolutely amazing![]()

You can't really have a match up between Naked Grouse and Three Ships 5yo, it is unfair to both. Although they are both budget, there is nothing else that close resemble the other.Seems like a stretch getting those locally, but seeing that I’ve been released from the “poor man whiskey club” oath, I might as well spend a bit.
Ps: The naked grouse won, edging out in a close toss up with the TSW5 amongst the sub R500 we sampled.
Interesting. To me the 2006 was my favorite as well!Speaking about TSW and peated whiskies, I finally had time to sample the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 vintages of the Three Ships Whisky 10yo single malt releases, and according to me, the 2006 still kicks butt and is by far their best release to date. The 2005 is second best, then 2008 and then 2007, so if you can get a bottle of 2006, grab it and run
Still have a few bottles of this, come back to it every now and then
