I've never had Laphroaig before but some of you rate it. Makro has the following deal at the moment:

You reckon its a good deal? I'm tempted...

The 10 year isn't bad but I dont find the select that great. Although R350 is a decent price for an entry level islay peat. I would recommend the Laphroaig Quarter Cask though

Difficult question to answer. Everybody measures Whisky value differently. I grabbed it 'cos I have not had an Ardbeg for a long time...and I never buy and drink the same bottle twice...ever.

If you drink Ardbeg everyday or replace your Ten or Uigi regularly, then I would not recommend this, as you probably will not be wowed. But if you like having the latest or one of each, then obviously give it a bash.

I think the price is good as it just about the same as it cost here retail...if you were quick enough. It retailed for approx € 80...now it is €150 - €200 on secondary market here.
