Oh yeah baby! This is the best bang for buck way to try out multiple whisky's. Just, hic, get a, hic, cab home.

Also just starting to get into my Whisky...

For most occassions Jameson is my go to..Select Reserve, Gold Label or the normal one... Gold Label is super smooth and easy with just an iceblock or two, its the one i normally have in my decanter...

For someting different i will move to CHIVAS REGAL, 18 YO Gold Signature Scotch Whisky it is an absolute dream, dont like the 12 YO but the 18YO is superb !!!

The JW range is very very harsh for me, i prefer a smoother easy drinking whiskey, the Blue Lable is nice as is the Platinum but simply over priced, would rather for the CR 18YO or Jameson Gold....

Dont mind the Glenfiddich 12YO either, however can only have a few glasses before my throat gets a bad after taste...

Wife bought me 12 year old glenlivet.

Opinions?

I'm a fan. It is very light and easy drinking. I would not recommend more than a a few drinks at a time though because you lose the flavour a bit after a few drinks because it is so light.

Yeh, a lot lighter than the black label i was comparing it to. thanks for the opinion.

Simply can't stomach Jameson, absolutely love Johnnie Black
Was given a bottle of Talisker as a present and I thought it tasted terrible!
Glenlivet smooth and almost awesome but simply not adventurous enough, Glenfiddich not so much, Glenmorangie too fruity (almost orangy)

Can't afford JB as an everyday drink so I've settled on Tullamore Dew as something affordable and very drinkable. Anything cheaper I'll mix with Aquelle Marula when at a party or braai or something (sacrilege I know but it is amazing ... don't knock it until you've tried it! :wtf:)

I'll take the Talisker off your hands, I'd take it over a cheap blend any day of the week.

If you like J&B, look for a rip off called C&J. Very, very similar but a heck of a lot cheaper.
