By the way...was it on this thread that I became involved in a bit of a tiff re. Ardbeg shipping...or not...directly to South Africa?

Or was it on the Whisky Brother Instagram Friday Vlog? People were going off, about buying directly from Ardbeg and having bottles couriered straight to SA?

I don't recall seeing anything here. I do recall a comment when WB had the ardbeg ambassador on.

I wonder if I'll ever get to taste that? MoM sold out and not sure which local guys will have it in stock soon. This and Wee Beastie of course...

I have it on good authority (someone in the local industry) we might not get Wee Beastie in SA for a while.

Also, the lockdown is going to cause us whisky lovers a lot of strife for a while.... lack of availability of stuff we've become used to and silly prices coming for the stuff we can get.

Hi there guys!

I’m looking at getting myself a decent bottle of whiskey(I almost exclusively drink Jameson when I’m at home, by myself) and I’m looking into buying myself something else. I’m not a big fan of Scotch as I like whiskey that are little on the lighter, sweeter, floral/spicy/citrusy side of things.

I have been looking at getting Bushmills Black Bush - I have had it before and I enjoyed it, it’s very buttery/caramel tasting.

What would you guys suggest?

I have a price limit - let’s say about R450 as it’s just for me, no one else at home touches my drink.

I have had this a few times, it’s lovely.

I’m looking at Bulleitas a first time buy
