I like the new Three Ships Mash Tun edition. It is a whiskey liqueur though, bottled at 24%. This is purely made for coctails, I personally like to drink it with ginger beer.

There is a strong cinnamon note in there, with a bit of cloves as well, which makes me think that they used aromatic bitters in the blend, so one can skip the bitters if you want to make a coctail which include bitters.

I see PicknPay is selling a 750ml bottle now for R100 and you get 500 smart shopper points as well

My favourites are, to only name a few, Macallan 12, Monkey Shoulder, Buffalo Trace, Woodford Reserve and Jameson.

A very nice and delicious and affordable blended malt which I like is Naked Grouse. The two main malts in the blend is Macallan and Highland Park, so that is already a big plus.

It is quite heavy sherry forward though as it was matured in virgin sherry casks, so watch out for that if you don't like sherry bombs.

How long was it "aged" with these sound waves? Only 6 months?

This sounds ( pun intended ) like such a load of marketing kak that has no foundation in science.

The same recent gimmick of putting barrels on ships and crossing the ocean, making the liquid shake and move around etc. Wasn't that nonsense also debunked?

Yip, suppose the only real advantage of this over normal Bains is that it spent an extra 2 years in barrel as normal Bains is 5 years

I don't know...no one has said as much? I have seen a lot of posts all over social media about this...with pics and diagrams etc...and no-one, that I have seen, said it is a load of kak and a gimmick.

Maybe people think stuff and don't really say it? Who knows?

I DGAF and call it as I see it....:D

Not buying it as a gimmick buying it for the extra 2 year and extra strength that's all

PLEASE don't get me wrong, since so much tone and inflection etc. is lost when posting on the Internet.

I never implied anybody here was bamboozled OR is buying this stuff because it was vibrated with sound waves...I merely made and observation about the gimmick and the fact that I have not seen them being called out about it.

I agree 100% that the extra 2 years AND awesome ABV is the best and only reason to buy this...especially at that price too.
