I hope you kept me a sample of the Orchard House - review?
Orchard House blew me away tbh. Amazing amount of fruit on the nose, especially pears and pear drops, peaches and green apples.

Then the waxiness from the Clynelish kicks in, providing great mouthfeel and texture....the Linkwood adds malt and freshly cut green grass.

So much fruit, it's unbelievable. And at that price!!

Apparantly this is becoming a core release too...awesome value.

There are some great special. If my maths doesn't fail me, the Laphroaig bundle is also a great deal.

I see they are advertising the Three Ships 10 gift pack again, I really hope I can get my hands on a bottle of the 2006 vintage.
I'm actually prepared to swop an unopened Three Ships 10 2007 gift pack for just a bottle of the 2006 vintage

There are quite a number of this at Oxford Liquormart Hillcrest. Was there today.

That and a slightly cheaper Macallan Rare Cask Batch 2.

Unfortunately that Springbank tasting set contains Whisky's that you cannot find, unless you buy at auction or are extremely lucky/connected.
happy to report that for me the Kilkerran 8yo was the one I most wanted a full bottle of after doing the set and it is at least still available from WB it seems ... not even that pricey ... roughly Ardbeg Uigeadail territory price wise

The 17 Madeira is a thing of beauty imo.
It was good, not my fave, but what was odd is I emptied the sample bottle and there seemed to be some more left in the little bottle ... upon emptying the "rest" unfortunately I realized too late it was sediment, looked a lot like the yeast leftovers from a homebrew hitting the rest of the unspoiled glass, not sure if it affected the taste

The most disappointing one in the box for me was the Kilkerran 16. Was really excited for it and I didn’t like it. Maybe I over-hyped it and expected too much.
I probably had good fortune then going in blind: I had no expectations at all and almost no experience with the region ... I've only had a Longrow 18yr and a Springbank 21yr before that's even vaguely related ... my naïve and completely oblivious palate chose the Kilkerran 8yo
