Got a bottle of Yoichi. An excellent Japanese single malt.
Thursday i went to a fare well and a bottle of Johnny walker blue was ordered .
I was already broken but still had to try it , triple shot in a glass with ice , man is that stuff smooth , absolutely amazing whisky .
First time i ever drank johnny walker blue .

I tasted JWB once. Awesome stuff. But that price.....yoh.
Which whiskeys can you guys recommend that's similar in smoothness to JWB, but does not cost an arm and leg?

It's good, but overpriced in my opinion. There's far better in the same price range.

It depends what your husband likes, peat? sherry?
Most Whiskeys in the price range will be really nice. Depends on what you want. Personally I would recommend the Dalwhinnie 15 for a light and sweet whisky or the Lagavulin 16 if you prefer peatier whisky. The Glenfiddich 18 is also quite a nice middle ground between the other 2 I have mentioned.
