Picked this up at the Tops of all places, couple of them have a decent whisky selection.

Really enjoying it, a touch smokier and at would be an Ardbeg with a Campbeltown twist.

Yeah it was R679~ at Durbanville Village Square Tops, still tempted to pick up a Kilkerran 12 from them as a blind buy. I find it very similar to Port Charlotte Scottish Barley which you can get for R800 from Checkers. I wouldn't say I have a preference over the two though. The Longrow is a tad saltier.

Longrow is technically peated to Ardbeg levels at around 50-55 PPM I believe.

Edit: Price is 679, 659 for Hazelburn 10.

I also saw this at a brand new Tops close to me a few days ago...couldn't believe my eyes. Amazing dram.

The Kilkerran 12 is fantastic. You won't be disappointed.

Two of my favorite distilleries...and that Talisker got huge praise and write ups...would have loved to get my hands on one of those.

The Oban is very good as well. 2 of the 4 good ones in this range...the other being the Lagavulin and the Royal Lochnagar.

You did well indeed !!
