No way I'm paying R890 for a South African Whisky.
This is one of the extremely limited times where I will say: "Local is lekker!"

Andy Watts is one of the better Whisky makers in the world and his Whisky has won numerous International accolades.

I am a renowned Whisky snob (apparently :sneaky:) and also looked down my nose at Bain's and Three Ships, until I tasted the stuff and also visited the Distillery.

One more thing: It is expensive to make Whisky AND age it in extremely expensive barrels.

I'm sure it is not horrible, however I do not spend a small fortune on Whisk(e)y as some others do

So if I'm going to drop R890, it is going to be on something imported from Scotland or Ireland :p

I finally found the best use for Johnnie Black!!!

Mix it into a chocolate milkshake to create a Dirty Pedro. Fantastic, the smokiness of the Johnnie Black really works well with the chocolate flavour.

As a side note, I've also tried a Dirty Pedro with Talisker but the peatiness overwhelms the chocolate a bit.

tried a Dirty Pedro with Talisker
I know the best way to drink whiskey is however you like it but mixing Talisker into a milk shake would make me sad almost as bad as this video.
Ruining Highland park should be a criminal offence...

I'm not a big fan of Talisker to be honest.

I'd never put a good whisky into a milkshake, that would be sacrilege.

That 3 Ships 9Yo is a good price at R590. They make some really really good Whisky

And the WB Trace only R250! and my first order R100 disc voucher used as well so all over - WIN:laugh:
So what can you say
WOW the Saz is amazing!
Downside.....How do you one manage this as a regular at the price though? :(
