I'll be in touch, I'd really be keen to try the Balcones. Very generous of you!

Thanks for the heads up that Torfa is a good replacement for Longrow, might be useful down the line and this is the second time I've heard good things about it. I'm going to wait until a whisky tasting event to try the other two but I've been very tempted by Revival, it just always ends up slipping down my next purchase list.

If you're in jhb go through to Bottega and have a taste. They also have the Glenglassaugh Octaves Peated which you can taste while you're there.

I bought some bottles there last week.
Very impressed at the pricing!

And the whiskeys were fantastic also...

R800 at Checkers.

Which Checkers did you buy that at? Since the big renovations to my Checkers Hyper here in B'Fell, they have closed the bigger Checkers Liquor attached to it.

The smaller one around the corner stocks all the kuk Whisky...

Fourways Mall. They had 2 on display.

I had some Jim Beam the other day - the cheapest Jim Beam. It tasted like piss. Disgusting.

I've got another bourbon - Bulleit this time. Buffalo Trace had gone up in price. Bulleit is pretty good, the equal of Buffalo Trace I'd say. Although, problem is, I'm not sure that I could tell a difference between Buffalo Trace and Bulleit.

The cheapie JB is good for hot summer days with lots of ice.

You should give Knob Creek a go next or even Sazerac.

Here's a hint as to what to do with it

I'll have to take your word for it, I wouldn't even pay for a dram at the pub let alone for a bottle. Moreso because of Mcgregor's behavior when a patron at a pub refused to try his whisky.
What a total c*&t that man is and the reviews on that Whiskey is atrocious...
