Be careful what you wish for

Sadly I don't really feel barrel proof bourbons are worth the cash we have to fork out for them here. I have an Elijah Craig and have tried the whisky brother exclusive, both are very good but I really enjoy scotch/world whisky a lot more. I really do like the Jack Single Barrel and Jack Rye so I'd probably like this but I just can't justify the price and I would rather spend that money on good Scotch. Also I am finding I'm not as interested in cask strength whiskies.
Yeah I know they have, but not willing to spend that $$$

So I came across a Peat Monster 10th Anniversary Edition for a really good price (R1,295), however, the box was phuqued so I negotiated the store down to R1,100. So now I'm trying to get my hands on a box (good luck with that for an 8yr old limited edition).

I love the lizard skin texture on that box. As we discussed yesterday, contact CB (Jill) and maybe they can make a plan?

Here's hoping....

I see the Bain's 10yo Shiraz Cask is no longer available on the JSD website.
Guess you'll have to shop travel retail now :)

I'll take that one on the far left off your hands...or is @Quad Pipe also after that damaged box? Seems to be his thing, hey?
I got 3 left, BIL took the one with the damaged box and @Quad Pipe took the other one. I've got 3 x 50ml samples as well, gifted 1 of them and drank one of them. I've got too much drinking whisky, doubt I'll end up getting around to opening a bottle until next year.
