"Who am I online" problems

Well the money ballooned coz they have to pay the "Lobola" some how :)

all i can do is hide from embarresment. Thank goodness i have nothing to do with them.

I could never understand how government could budget such large amounts for projects that should take a single developer (one that knows his stuff mind you) less than 6 months to create... I really just can't grasp it...

Nelwa, its because they are government. Lets say they implementing a new site with static pages on it. They could just get some high school kid with MS Frontpage to do it at a cost of R2k and a timeframe of a week at most.

The problem with that however is that the general public wont trust it. Government has to make these huge deals out of stuff because then joe public goes. oh well done. So in the above example they hire Gijima to do them a 1 page site that is static and they pay R20 million for it.

Its the way governments work sadly. Well in my opinion anyway

WHAT?! Hendrik Verwoerd would turn in his grave!

"Julle wil HOEVEEL betaal vir n kuber tuiste?!"

Why don't they just piggyback on vuisbroek ?

I guess they are spending that much to have this thing intergrated into the e-goverment services of their new digital TV STB.

The City of Cape Town, recently had a deal with Gijima to deploy Symantec End point Protection. The department that did the tender didn't do their homework. So we the employees, ended up doing it ourselves, and I'm not seeing a single cent of it.

the people who actually do the work don't get payed nor get credit

High costs for ineffective projects are all part of the transformation process - transformation of the country's wealth into piggies pockets ...

now thats the truth!
