So we have this newsletter that goes out to about 600+ clients and now telkom decided to mark our newsletter as spam to all their clients woth telkomsa.net email addresses, as well as other mail servers hosted by them.

Any of you guys know who to speak to, to get it unblocked? Got a feeling this is gonna be hours of pain with telkom

Think i added one extra link it...which links to our website. But nothing in there that even looks like spam

Me.

Bayesian filters learn from how much/combination of words etc are in email.

They're very difficult to bypass unless you abide by email marketing best practices.

1. Do you have a ptr record for your email server?
2. Do you have an spf record for your sending domain?
3. Is the subject clear and to the point?
4. Try not to embed too much html as this also alerts spam/junk filters.
5. Is it only Telkom accounts that the email is failing to?
6. Does the email bounce or does it simply go into the junk mail folder?

Use this tool to check the reputation of your domain/server on the internet.

And this one to check if you're on any blacklists

Ultra-v16. I told you that you can speak to me - that was yesterday. It can only be hours of pain if you decide to do nothing...
