Who has had broken ribs?

I see you found that Biker gang. :p

Luckily I havent broken ANY of my bones (nor fracture).

Had a few ribs cracked on different occasions. Try a cracked sternum for real pain though.

"Don't try this at home" back in the day was mistakenly heard with a qualifier "...unless you and your mates are hungover/still smashed and have nothing to do on a Sunday."

Coughing, sneezing, laughing - all suck.

I've cracked some twice - once at school while playing touch rugby.
And - more awkward
I ran into a tree - while streaking around a girls hostel at varsity and cracked 4 ribs. To be honest - it was not the most eventful thing to happen on campus that night. But it hurt like hell both time.

I've had ribs dislocate from the cartilage by the base of the sternum. Painful. Had to sleep with cushions on both side to try avoid turning while sleeping.

I always thought it cant be THAT bad, but trust me, it's hell!!

I've bruised mine boxing and I had to sleep sitting up in a chair for 2 weeks, as lying down felt like I was being repeatedly STABBED.

I feel your pain, its the most painful thing I've ever been through and i was living on painkillers for those 2 weeks. I can only imagine that having broken ribs is so much worse!

According to one PA (Mother of three) - a kidney stone is worse. Been there - never ever ever ever want to experience that again.
I passed a kidney stone years ago, took a day and I was in agony.

I've always liked Bill Cosbys comment on giving birth - it's like pulling your upper lip - all the way over the top of your head :)

Maybe I must try sleeping in a chair as well. Lying down in bed is ok, but turning in your sleep is pure agony, and then you wake up.

I slept with cushions on both sides to stop myself from turning.
