try giving birth

:p

Yeah, that's clearly not fun but, damaged ribs hurt a lot and for about 3 months. When I had my damage sternum I could feel bits clicking against each other when I breathed.

The worst pain I ever experienced was when I dropped the narrow end of a piece of vibracrete(sp?) wall on the tip of my finger. I was up all night literally crying from pain.

I've had ribs dislocate from the cartilage by the base of the sternum. Painful. Had to sleep with cushions on both side to try avoid turning while sleeping.

hmm did the doc pop it back into place.
I have found I have the abilty to "crack" my ribs from the cartilage like people crack thier knuckles and the cartilage in my nose too.

Getting smacked in the chest by a boogie board.

It's a body board unless you dancing on it in the 70's.

Starts off a bit slow...

Its great thou. Definitely watch it!.

Yeah, I thought the same. After watching the first two episodes, I was a bit underwhelmed. But it turned out to be a great series. Waiting for season 3 to air.

Ok, back on topic please. I'm using Neurofen as a painkiller, which works ok. Even with the prescribed dosage , it is giving me the trots. Any other viable alternatives?

Not an option, I still need to be at work. Is there no other over the counter alternative?

You will still be able to work with Tramacet on its own. Lasts about 5-7 hours.

Edit: I normally take that when I develop a Migraine.

Not sure how effective it will be with broken ribs...

Lollipops. That way you stop complaining.

But seriously - why don't you ask your doctor - they probably don't want t give you anything strong to stop you from accidentally aggravating it.

Mybulen worker best for me. I think it's the strongest over the counter painkiller that doesn't require a prescription.

Maybe I must try sleeping in a chair as well. Lying down in bed is ok, but turning in your sleep is pure agony, and then you wake up.

Yep I had the same issue. What I did is lie on the couch with my back propped up in a sitting position. Slept like that for 2 weeks as the bed was simply too painful!
