Who here eats Fish Paste?

What ingredients?

Sounds like plain olde fashioned EU protectionism to me.

I can't remember the full story (it's over a decade ago) but it was along the lines of fish heads and entrails being minced in iirc.

There was a lot of SA food products banned a couple of years ago as well due to some issue with traces of veterinary products being found in them (a lot of Bakers biscuits, for example).

I agree, no difference as I posted a few years ago in this thread.

Been reading up on this thread. For those who dont know: Marmite, Bovril, Redro and Pecks are Bokomo products.

In the US, can get Pecks at specialty shops, but Bovril ..... no chance.
They sell a thing called Bovrite

Bovril will do.

Haven't had it in a long time because nobody else in the family can stand it.... but I did eat it a lot growing up and I still love Anchovies.
 
Has anyone tried adding a layer of fish paste on a basic pizza dough instead of the traditional tomato mix and then adding your seafood toppings?
