Can you perhaps give us some feedback/comments on Cell C's 3g service? We all are waiting in anticipation for it to launch in Durban, and I'd love to know what to expect.
 
There's already a thread where the PE guys share their experiences.

Hi, I've been using the Cell C Dongle since yesterday (Friday) and am very happy. It's not quite as fast as the Vodacom Dongle which reaches speeds of 9Mps but CellC is bursting up to 5Mps. The login and authentication of the CellC unit is far faster than the Vodacom Unit. Hopefully the Cell C speed will improve as it gets fine tuned.

You haven't by any chance tried using it outside PE yet? Still waiting for some kind of confirmation if the cap would work in any place(at the cost of speed).

MYBB has already stated that the dongle they got from PE is working fine in Joburg. That means it should work anywhere where Cell c is testing their service at the moment.

What about the places where there's no 4G networks present at all?

Hi HideInLight,
The new Cell C dongles will operate on EDGE, where available, if we have not launched the 4Gs network in that area yet.

Then what about the price? Will the data be deducted from bundled data or do we need to rechrage to use EDGE?

The price will be the same as that quoted for data on the HSPA+ network. It will simply not be at the same speed. You'll only recharge when your bundle is depleted, and that will be at the R0.39c Out of Bundle rate quoted.
