Who is responsible, Cell C or me?
Hey guys I have a problem with Cell C and I would like your opinions.
I have two cell c contracts and I made an EFT payment on the FNB app on the 28th of December, in the month of January I got my statement showing my accounts in arrears I then called Cell C to ask if they haven't received my proof of payments, I was told that it wasn't received and that I should send it again. I sent them to the cell c agents personal email address right after.
2 days later I called cell c to follow up if they received my proof of payment and if my accounts were allocated for, their answer was no and that is because my money did not reflect on their side. So they said they would investigate and call me with feedback. Today I received a call from cell c saying they indeed received my proof of payments however looking at them, they were paid to the wrong account number and Wrong bank. They asked me where I got their banking details from and I told them from their Twitter support page, which is a verified page by the way.
The account details that we sent to me by the twitter page were from standard bank, but cell c banks with nedbank. Also bear in mind the two account numbers are completely different from each other.
So now I have to do two reversals since I deposited the money into the wrong account. So my question is who is responsible if I don't get my money back also if I do get my money back who will be responsible for the reversal fee of R265? I don't know if the fee will be for each transaction or if it will be bundled. Thank you guys. You may ask questions if you need further explaining
