I'm rather partial to having access to Internet that isn't (excessively!) costly wherever >MY< travels and travails take me as I go about my business. The notion of having to go to a particular place (id est, for the most here present, home or office) to get 'net access is just bizarre. But then, I'll grant that this is a special case and, at any rate, going to move the office itBust (uncapped ADSL is just going to be better for us when you get down to it) over PDQ.

So, that's a vote both ways then! :D

I have no choice!! Old man wont cancel!! We got it for free so we stuck till 2012!! Damn u killer of torrents and piracy!

ADSL has been down for 3 weeks now - some cable fault that Telkom idiots seem incapable of repairing. Thank God for Iburst, otherwise I would really and truly be scr3wed !

Not enough signal for reliable 3G............

I am locked into a contract so i can't switch without wasting money, according to the website my contract is in effect until 2038 ! apparently

For me ADSL is not an option, i don't stay in one place long enough to make it viable. But really iBurst has been pretty reliable for me for the most part. Only recently have i been having major issues. And I really don't like the new throttling system - it's very irritating that it's changed.

I think I managed to fix all my connectivity problems, but I'll have to wait till Feb to see if it really worked. Overall I am satisfied with iburst, even though I have sent 6 emails to Customer Support -regarding my recent problems, with to-date a grand total of 0 replies

Told you so

When I told everyone they are busy ripping us off before they started migrating everyone was happy and said no way we get 2GB instead of 1GB, I mean that's exactly what iburst was looking for a bunch of idiots that believes getting 1 gb extra is a better service. You know it's like iburst treating there clients like the garbage and assuming that we are all brain dead and won't be able to see that we are in fact been raped to put it lightly.

My wireless 2 with that extra uncap option till end of February is a joke once the cap is reach I can't do anything it's slower than 64k so they can stuff that up there asses and should really come to my place so I can shove there modem up there ass.

Anybody that still wants to stay with iburst has to have a very good reason like;

No reception were they are other than iburst
They are working for iburst
They don't have the intelligence to make out the difference

I have to add paying over R500 for 5gb anyone that thinks that's cheap and a bargain is really retarded I think even Telscum is cheaper by half of that price.

So in short taking away my uncapped and migrating me over has made my decision for me, lucky for me that adsl is just a phone call away and even if you have to hold on for hours on telkom support at least you get a response back from them. Iburst sends you and email saying we could not reach you and could you please call us back again thinking we are idiots so my cell phone says no missed calls for the past week, while iburst is saying we did try to call you again the cellphones must be wrong or broken or is this iburst way of saving money because there company is going broke?

I gave my contact details, I got the same response - can't they leave a voice mail saying that they failed to reach me, instead of the phone just ringing and ringing and ringing? Oh, and I should be a valued customer, as I am paying R599 for the Pro Classic 3.5GB data, I have not been migrated, I should be getting 8GB for December & 8 GB for Jan. I also lost emails that were received at the cc address, and got PM and the response of phone just rings ...

Got the iburst through lantic but no problems with iburst accept the billing from lantic is a bit - shall we say - crap.
Asked for a copy of my statement and got the statment for the whole of cape town in a pdf file. R5 000 000 for dont know how many peopl instead of my own.
But other than that its okay for what we use it for, note book on the move.
