WKJ...no one knows who GMan is.. you could crack some random guesses but Valve might not even know yet..

As I've said before, I think he works for a 'company' we haven't seen yet. This 'company' controls space/time and existence, which explains how he can do all the 'magical' things he can do. We should know more about him in Half-Life: Episode 3 and Half-Life 3.

Well from what i've seen of the story so far the Gman seems to be not necessarily human. Evidenced quite quickly with his strange speech patterns sometimes.

As lord said it seems that who ever this entity is they are kinda like a temporal service whereby they rent out agents to enact events on time/space locales.
