My biggest concern is the harm these people inflict on innocent others (husbands, wives, children, parents) around them with their harmful lifestyles and attitudes and, more importantly, without realising it.

Ahh very nice, I have always taken the stance that if you want to destroy yourself do it somewhere/way where you only hurt yourself.... :D

But that is not really possible because you always have people who care about you (yes even gru and pooky:p) thus they will get hurt if you **** yourself up :D

Hehehe, that's why no man is an island! You can't do anything in isolation; you might think you're only hurting yourself, but unfortunately you are correct: those around you who care will also get hurt in the process. As such you become a danger in that you don't realise who you are actually hurting.

Okay, maybe not pooky, but that's okay because pooky is about to be disintegrated by a giant particle accelerator. :D

Yes by killing thousands with a single bomb, letting a whole continet die after raping it for minerals, making endless war for resources, ect ect we are being very civilised :rolleyes:

Striving doesn't mean we are already there.

And also take into account how countries have disarmed themselves of nuclear weapons.

And also being civilized is a relative term. America doing forceful things doesn't mean they do it from a barbaric state of mind.

Im sorry but I actually think people care less today (on average) than 100 years ago.

Well, we had the elegant Victorian era. Gentlemen were gentlemen and ladies where ladies. However, the British army shot and killed anything that came near them in a skirt, including Scots, Zulus and Native Americans.

Then there were the 1920s. Roaring, indeed. Women became less conservative, but remained the fairer sex. But booze, dance halls and fast cars were quick become the norm.

1950s brought back much conservatism, post war. Technological advancement was on the increase and so was the free movement.

60s, 70s, 80s, 90s...

Were we ever balanced? Its seems the evil in man, when suppressed, is merely replaced by another evil. So we stopped shooting the natives, and started shooting it up instead.
