I wanted my car current since 2006, while still studying. Had the opportunity to drive (and by drive I mean hammer) some brand new ones in 2007/2008 and loved every minute of it.

A few months ago I finally found a decent one that I could afford, that was exactly what I wanted:) Loved it since the day I got it.

White Focus ST 3DR with Sunroof and leather

Its awesome when you mates notice you smiling everytime you drive your dream :)
 
I know the feeling mate. Love the Focus STs. Awesome machine. Can't wait for the new one to come out.
 
I have loved all of my cars to date besides the Citi, hated that POS although it was my first car so I enjoyed the freedom ( I was 18).

Second car was a 2008 Bantam (facelift of the old model now) , titanium in colour with matching canopy, awesome vehicle for a 21 year old although a little slow and unsafe. Really miss this car should have kept it as a 2nd vehicle. Countless memories with sleeping in the back after rough nights etc :D

3rd and current car is a 2010 Kia Cerato, Titanium silver in colour. Compared to previous cars this car drives and feels like an Audi A8 :p Extremely happy, love its looks to.

Those Ceratos are awesome cars. My buddy has the Koup and what a beautiful machine it is :)
 
I loved my Astra when it was still me driving it, now my wife drives it and it so full or junk - I have no idea why women tend to keep such a lot of crap in a car. At the moment I admire the Astra, but I do not love it anymore. It has 180,000km on the clock and is still happy to do 160km/h with two mountain bikes & kit in the back.

My 1 year old baby blue Corsa, now that car I do love, its unique and alternative. I guess I can only love one car at a time.

I have a Citroën C3, 2009.
I enjoy the car although love is a bit extream...

The seats are flat, you don't really sit into the seats but feels more like sitting ontop of it.
The cornering is poor. I had a kia picanto and it could corner at higher speed and faster.
The boot has a hole in it when putting the seats flat. You don't have an even boot floor for large stuff.

The car accelerates very good, for a 1.6l
It's loaded with safety and warning systems. Even warns you when the trailer you hooked has a bad light.
Its bracking from high speed is the fastest I ever had. Had to do an emegincy stop on the high way when a truck swirved into my lane. The nose just pressed down and the speedo dropped to near 0. It didn't even twitched to the side. The car even activated its own hazard lights.
 
I drive a 2010 Kia Cerato 2.0 SX.
It's nippy, economical, quiet ride, lots of features, fantastic grip in corners and good braking.
Just need to add a turbo to make my grin bigger. Will definitely hang onto the car.

I would have loved an Audi A4 2.0T FSI multitronic but after adding the same or similar features as the Cerato it costs R394800.
I have no idea how a manufacturer can sell a vehicle for over R350K with hardly any standard features like iPod connectivity, rear park assist, etc.

its called premium segment, just a quick lecture on marketing is that it does not mean you are getting a better item because its more expensive, its what the market is willing to pay for a prem segment car, lets face it there are loads of A3s on the road. Does it make it a better car than something in a lower segment? Not really. Compare it to the Renault Megane which has a higher Ncap safety rating, then the answer is no. However the prem segment generally create a better engine than lower segments in order to create the perception that you are buying a better car, remember that the cost of those engines are spread across various models and so economy of scale allows them to make more money.

Still love my 2000 BMW 323i (255,000 km's on the clock :o). Still smooth. Just paid the last installment on it. :D :D
 
Damn, that Prelude is rare! I can understand how one can fall in love with it. Excellent choice syrrano.
 
I loved my Mazda 323 till I had an accident. Took it to a panel beater, and one day I was driving the engine fell off - almost.
Sold it for a Opel Astra 2004. The car was a nice drive and comfortable . It gave me endless problems. Every time I see anything Opel , I call it POS.

Now I drive a 2005 RunX 05 with 166 000km (I bought it when it had 66 000km). Not even a single problem since 2008 I bought it, except the driver's electric window.
Peace of mind any day of the week.

It's very rare that I can restrain myself enough to drive it sedately. Mmm, I think it's time she deserves a good detailing.

Maybe a close second would be a Nissan NX I owned a long time ago - coupe, so much fun to drive and engine was so good and smooth for a 11 or so y/o car (at the time). No photos, but http://files.conceptcarz.com/img/Nissan/nissan_nx_91_02.jpg if you dunno what it is.

Thanks, when I was deciding on which car I wanted I'd narrowed it down to my Leon FR and the R-type. Just didn't think I'd enjoy the high-rev'ing drama of a v-tec, but I never test-drove it, so what do I know.
 
I'm a Honda fan, always will be :) I got my 97 ballade, soon to be vtec with 277 000 km on the clock and I'd never wanna drive anything else :) it's just great when everything just works....
