Who loves their car?

Never said the Toyota is a better car than a BMW if you compare it car for car (Toyota is more reliable for sure)

Just my personal preference :)
 
Basic car (less that can break)generally equates to a more reliable car

What do you drive Fatboy?

I'd rather have reliability and basic creature comforts than all fancy gadgetry and no peace of mind.
 
Loved my previous car (Opel 160i Euro) right up until I sold it at 330,000km. Loving my current car (2010 Cerato 1.6) as well, especially after I've done a full wash and wax
 
I also loved my Corolla RSI and RunX RSI - quite under rated cars!

I think ugliest car on the road has to be a 5 door BMW 1 series and the 1st BMW X5

Modded Corolla RXi naturally aspirated full street car trim best quarter miles:
14.3 sec @ +-160km/h

Modded RunX RSi naturally aspirated full street car best quarter mile:
14.5 sec @ 158km/h

RSifan can confirm these times.

Those cars are very under-rated.

Most fun cars to drive IMO:
BMW M3 E46
Toyota RunX Rsi
Toyota Corolla RXi/RSi
Honda Vtec

That was a nice read. The only thing that looks funny is the bonnet in the final photo, is that a reflection?
I would love to restore a car with my son when he is older.
 
Jokes aside though, most Toyota drivers always harp on about reliability as to the reason they bought the car, I cannot see myself getting into an ugly car everyday for the sake of reliability. I want something I can enjoy, after all we are horribly ripped off in SA and most of us spend a huge chunk of our money on a car. Not an attack on Toyota drivers, as we all have different tastes. What it does show about Toyota is the brand loyalty, as its bland, has very limited in the way of luxuries especially for the price, however people love it in SA and admittedly they are all over the show.

Thats your OPINION that Toyota's are bland and ugly, not a FACT. Who says we dont enjoy our cars? I had the most fun in any car I've driven in a TOYOTA COROLLA. I travel 100km a day for work and enjoyed every single km, everyday in a Corolla that didnt have airbags (necessity of course), electric windows, climate control, cruise control, xenon lighting, traction control, etc etc) and if I had an RXi - would have been even better. The amount of money spent on a car is obviously salary dependant, but means the same a guy earning say R250k a year driving a BMW 320i Sportpack is comparable to a guy earning R1mil a year and driving a Porsche. For what we Toyota drivers can afford, the cars are great, good looking and fun.

I made a good comparisn the other week on the 'C-Segment' cars and sportiness. Look at all the top of the range sedans in the C-Segment leaving price aside:
Toyota Corolla Sprinter
VW Jetta V
Honda Civic
Hyundai Elantra
Kia Cerato
Nissan Tiida
Ford Focus

The best, most youthful looking and smart car there was the Corolla Sprinter, the rest, as much as they are good cars all look bland. But thats my OPINION and not a FACT.
The options that Toyota doesnt have from the Jetta maybe, is Xenon lights (HID lights instead), the rest are same/similar.
I think the RS4 sedan is a hot car but the wagon is just shyte, no offense. - just my opinion.
