Who still watches in SD?

I only watch my shows in HD, because well once you get used to it SD just looks like crap. Yet I have a colleague that still watches SD because it "takes up less space".

Anyone else agree with him? I really think it's just not worth. Would MUCH rather buy new hard drives than suffer SD content.
 
I watch mostly SD unless there is something in HD I specifically want, like say Spartacus.
HD just takes to long to download, even with a 4Mbps line.... and anyways, on a 32" SD is just fine, sometimes even better than vanilla TV signal or DSTV dish ;)
 
I watch general series in SD (20min download) and the stuff I really like in HD (1:20min download)
 
Meh, SD is still good. I am starting to get HD rips now, mainly movies though. What makes my decision is how badly I want to see the episode.. in an hour or tomorrow? If I can wait till tomorrow I'll get the HD rip.
 
I don't own a HD tv set and I probably won't until I am forced to get one because of SD becoming obsolete
 
SD is more than fine for my needs.
 
Ya, still watch SD here, since I have only 384k line. The PS3 upscales nicely though.

You need to change where you download from! HD is what, ~750mb for a 40min episode? On a 4mb line you're able to download it under an hour.
 
SD Upscaled is fine - I watch that all the time since HD is not always available.
 
Don't care, except if the program has some REALLY intense effects, like Avatar or something. For general series, SD is fine.
 
I watch TV shows in SD, movies in HD. I don't have the patience to download 1.2 GB episodes, especially when I'm following many shows at once.
 
Now I almost wanna ask who still watches content on TV :P

SD is just too blurry. I don't worry about time to download as I never watch series as they come out as watching an episode a week is just torture. So I wait till around 8 episodes are out.

Typical is 1.1gigs per 720p episode.

If you guys are complaining about how long it takes to download you need to let your PCs download overnight.
 
@hungrybeaver - Nope that aint the case, as pointed out by MikeHoxbig.... just because a movie title has HDTV in it does not imply is HD, to give you an idea something like QI in SD is only 244MB download while the HD version is 783MB and say my all time fav, Star Wars.. you can get any SD version from 400MB to 750MB while my HD version is 8.7GB.. so biiiiiiiiiig difference ;)
 
HD all the way.

Watching Archer in HD is just so much better on the eyes than SD, the same with Naruto and Bleach.

Just wish I had more money to buy more hard drives.
 
Series in SD, movies in HD.
Unless its a real good series / min-series i would get it in HD.
