Who uses Windows BitLocker Drive Encryption

With laptops being stolen these days and the increase in identify theft I definitively want to start using it. Already have the OS installed that suppports it. However I will have to format my drive in partitions.

Anyone using it? What are your thought on it.

I'm thinking of using it on my laptop as well.
I only wish it could encrypt on a per directory basis as opposed to an entire drive.

The OS drive you don't encrypt. So you just have to have another partition that is at least 100Mb in size.
I am just wondering if I put programs I open and compile on it will there be a performance as well as size impact over an unencrypted drive.
How to choose the partition size? Hmm
