Would love a poll but it can only take 9 options and not 32 :p

Let's try and see who of the 32 teams gets the most votes and then go for a poll once we have the top 9.

My single vote goes to

England

It's a toss up between England and Germany but I think England will take it.

I want portugal to win, but I say Italy or Brazil will take it, dont want Brazil to win...

I honestly thought Ivory coast might have a chance. But the group they are in. I don't see them reaching the second round :(

Portugal
Brazil
North Korea

From the players England has I would say this is their best chance since 1966 to win it. I need to be pretty convinced to put them above Germany who has a pretty good team themselves.

I think they have what it takes to beat Portugal, so they will go through with Brazil.

Would be great if Ivory Coast could win it but after they ended up in the 'group of death', their chances have diminished considerably. I'm surprised that nobody mentions Spain. Bad record at world cups but they're not ranked no.1 at FIFA for nothing.
I think Spain or Brazil will win it, Germany outside chance. Easy group for England so they should do well, perhaps the dark horse of the tournament.

Now if Bafana Bafana could only beat Mexico and draw against France... one can only hope. :)
 
Would be so cool to see South Africa get past the group phases, and as the host nation, it would send the sport to 9th heaven. Could you just imagine the school's and the uptake of the sport going forward? Wow!

Would love to see England do it ... would be great for our economy :D But I do not see it happening. Their pride is way to huge! Would also like to see the Dutch or Ghana or Cameroon or Nigeria do it ;)

But I think the winner is likely to come from Brazil, Portugal (depends on Ronaldo) or Spain. They must be hot favourites though.
 
Spain. They're the best team by miles. They seem to have got over their choking issues . IIRC they weren't happy with the pitches when they were last here so that could be a probelm
 
Can't see past the Selecao, they are superior to everybody.
