I found the easiest way to get people on is to show them the desk top app. That's something a lot of people wish whatsapp did.

Interesting. How do they make money? Am also not sure about the end to end encryption part. Are there any public and private keys for each user because that is the only way to get end to end encryption.

Im busy switching, just waiting for more contacts to get on it.
I like that I can use the same ID for my phone, ipad and PC.
Whatsapp was severly lacking in that department.

I generally see at least one contact a day starting to use it though.

There are lots of desktop apps for it, heck there are even unofficial ones for windows phone because they have an open API available so anyone can develop for it.
